NEW RECORD LABEL BY ANDREW MCMAHON
Andrew McMahon, frontman of Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin, has formed his own record label. Called Airport Tapes And Records (or ATR), McMahon has established the label under new company Your Music America, which itself was founded by industry veterans Larry Lee and Richie Zito. According to YMA, "the joint venture will serve as an outlet for the talented artists that Andrew encounters on the road and at home." There is no word on the label's first signings or releases or even a website established, but when that changes, we'll bring the news to you. [AP]Andrew McMahon is a pretty talented guy. Something Corporate has some amazing songs, while "Mixed Tape" by Jack's Mannequin sounded really epic too. I'm eager to see which bands come out of record label. Can't wait.
